Australia pays folks for solar panelled homes

Australia’s Queensland is known as the Sunshine State. Just the sort of place you’d want to think about setting up a scheme to pay people switching to solar energy. Which, funnily enough, is exactly what’s been happening over there.

Queensland Premier, Anna Bligh, will kick off a scheme on 1 July whereby anyone selling excess energy back to the grid will get a super-tasty rate for their electricity extras, according to Aussie papervery affordable fuel cell cars out there at the moment and even within the reach of those on 44 cents an hour.
