Climate Savers plan IT power management Webinar

rack-of-serversThe Climate Savers Computing Initiative and the US Environmental Protection Agency plan to host a joint Webinar on IT power management later this month.

Registration is now open for the free IT Power Management Summit, scheduled for 12 to 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on 30 March.

The summit will focus on three key issues: opportunities to eliminate energy waste and save both money and carbon, implementation obstacles and how to overcome them and best practices from companies who have already successfully implemented power management.

Speakers will include Pat Tiernan, executive director of the Climate Savers Computing Initiative; Steve Ryan, program manager of the ENERGY STAR Low Carbon IT Campaign; Stephen Berard of Microsoft; Doug Washburn, an analyst at Forrester Research; Mike Walker, president of Beacon Consultants; and Thomas Bolioli, a consultant for Terra Novum LLC.
