Efficiency efforts save firm big money

By Greenbang on Friday, 27th March 2009

invoiceA firm based in Horden, County Durham, has slashed its energy bills after receiving some expert advice from the MAS North East’s Energy team.

Actem UK’s efficiency improvements helped it cut its annual fuel bills from £65,000 to below £40,000, reports One North East. The firm manufactures and supplies fabricated steel parts for a variety of industries.

“Making savings are important to companies at any time, but in the current global economic downturn reducing energy costs can be crucial to small and medium sized companies,” said Allen Jones, MAS North East Senior Energy Advisor. “I am delighted that Actem has been able to secure such impressive savings on energy bills and we will continue to work with the company to drive down energy consumption.”
