  • Aurora Biofuels has named Bob Walsh as its new CEO;
  • FirstEnergy this week announced the results of its reorgnisation and workforce reduction;
  • Concentrating solar energy firm Entech Solar announced a restructuring this week to control costs;
  • Former SunPower COO PM Pai has joined Suniva Inc.’s board of directors;
  • Intermolecular this week hired Craig Hunter as vice president and general manager of solar business;
  • NRG Energy acquired Reliant Energy’s retail energy business in Texas for $287.5 million (US);
  • First Solar acquired Opti Solar’s solar-energy project pipeline, with a potential capacity of more than 20 gigawatts;
  • Spain’s Fotowatio this week purchased MMA Renewable Ventures, giving the firm a new foothold in the US solar energy market.
