Remember that Lincolnshire wind turbine that was reported to have been damaged by a UFO earlier this year? Well, the surviving blade has moved safely away from future potential alien attacks and now spins happily at the Ecotech Centre in Swaffham.

Some early-morning incident this past January caused extensive and “unique” damage to two turbine blades at Ecotricity’s Fen Farm Wind Park. UFO enthusiasts were quick to attribute the damage to flyer saucers, and the bizarre incident received worldwide media coverage.

Now that the hubbub has quieted down, the remaining wind blade has moved on to — in a way — greener pastures. Its new home — the Ecotech Centre — also features the world’s only wind turbine that the public can climb.
