Over at the Future Agenda blog Leo Roodhart of the Society of Petroleum Engineers recognizes that alternative sources of energy including nuclear power “are needed to fill the gap: Shell’s scenario experts believe that renewable sources could provide around 30% of the world’s energy by the middle of this century, up from around 3% today.
