Gossip rates rise over corporate ethics
Greenbang is good mates with Karen Fraser – the mother of the Ethical Reputation Index.
And according to a report on The Green Awards website, 60 per cent of consumers regularly discuss corporate ethics.
“In 2006, 49% people said they were ‘quite likely’ or ‘very likely’ to discuss reputation of company with others, but this year that figure has increased to almost 60%.
The people most likely to discuss companies’ track records are the 25-44 year old age group, two-thirds of whom said they’d discussed a company’s ethics in the last month. The most likely topics for conversation are the environmental impact of travel, food production and packaging, and the effect this will have on family life.”
