HUGE plastic recycling plant launches

5791.jpgA big multi-million pound plastics recycling plant has opened in Lancashire.

Intercontinental Recycling Limited (IRL), which has received over £500,000 funding from Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank, will be able to convert an estimated 30,000 tons of post-consumer plastic bottles per annum into recycled PET flakes and HDPE pellets for premium markets.
IRL MD Ravi Chanrai said:

“Identifying the need for more effective plastics recycling in the UK, we have developed a unique facility to sort and reprocess a variety of plastic bottles into high quality end-use products. We are delighted by the involvement of Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank in our project, enabling us to achieve this.”
