Green media boom still rolling on
There’s been a surge of media interest in all things green over the past year, as we’re sure you’ve noticed. In fact, we’re you’d have to live in a cave in Afghanistan to avoid missing the level of interest. Greenbang makes a habit of checking how often national newspapers in the UK don’t carry any green stories–and it’s pretty rare right now (even if the story is total crap).
But the real boom has been in specialist media, like this little site we hope you’ve come to know and love. Not long ago, one of the industry stalwarts Treehugger was snapped up for some $10m. It was all of three years old. Now we hear that Cleantech Network is raising some $10m in financing. This was just after it bought a publication called ‘Inside Greentech’. The boom rolls on.
