Green, with the paperwork to prove it

Everyone loves a good certificate, don’t they? Something to pin on the wall and feel proud of. But it’s not all cycling proficiency and 25 metres breast stroke, oh no. IBM has come up with a way its customers can get their hands on some reassuring paperwork for earning green brownie points.

If you fancy greening your data centre – and getting those goddamn data centre hippies off your back – then it could be time to get involved with IBM’s Efficiency Certificates Initiative.

Big Blue, or Big Green as it’s now shaping up to be, has started offering third-party verification for those taking some garden shears to their data centre power consumption.
