PC chip that adjusts power usage to save environment

PC’s consume loads of energy, stacks of the stuff, love it they do. Can’t get enough.

But they actually don’t need to all the time.

In fact, so much energy is wasted that it spends a great deal of its time gently roasting your legs instead of powering your laptop.

Well, Marvell has announced a new digital power technology that lowers PC and notebook power consumption.

New chips that are a type of digital signal processors (DSP) will adapt power in real time for power supplies and power adapters for PCs by controlling the AC-DC current switching.
